In the pricey L.A. art world, someone's out to make a killing. Arts Weekly reporter Jennifer Cole thinks she's on the trail of a breakthrough story. The more she pursues that tantalizing story, the more she becomes embroiled in the perils of the dark side of the art world. Her lust and obsession draw her toward a sexy young painter. Passion and intensity combine in Dark Side Of Genius, a shrewd, sexually charged mystery set in L.A.'s trendy gallery scene. Finola Hughes ("Staying Alive") is Jennifer, determined to unravel the elusive secrets suggested in the lurid paintings of a recently released convicted murderer ("Brent Fraser of Wild Orchid 2: Two Shades of Blue"). Seymour Cassel ("Indecent Proposal") is the patron eager to cash in on the buying frenzy for the paintings. And Glen Shadix ("Beetlejuice") and Moon Zappa ("The Boys Next Door") add to the twists, turns and style of this sultry spellbinder.
